Enable and finetune your email and other message settings

Updated over a week ago

Stay up-to-date with what’s happening in Panobi, so you know if you need to modify when a project will start, wrap up a completed project, or check out a brand-new insight.

You can control where and how you find out about new activity. There are a few options for types of notifications and how to manage them…

Email

Any changes you make to your email notification settings are workspace-specific.

  1. Navigate to Settings

Click on Settings in the left navigation, and then click on Notifications under General.

  2. Toggle on email notifications

Turn on the first toggle to allow email notifications, or turn it off to disallow them.

  3. Finetune your email settings

You can choose which types of email notifications you’d like to receive:

    • Mentions and comments - When someone mentions you or comments on your project, insight or metric. These email notifications are rolled up into a digest if there are multiple messages in a short period of time.

    • Activity - When someone interacts with your project, insight or metric. These email notifications are rolled up into a digest if there are multiple messages in a short period of time.

    • Reminders - When there’s an upcoming change to your project or your automated report is ready. These email notifications are delivered on a one-off, as-needed basis.

Slack

If your growth team already communicates via Slack, this is a great option for receiving your Panobi notifications.

  1. Navigate to Settings

Click on Settings in the left navigation, and then click on Integrations under your workspace name.

  2. Connect to Slack

Under Available integrations, select Slack from the list, which will open a detailed view in the sidebar. Navigate to the Configure tab and click Connect. You’ll be prompted to give Panobi and Slack permission to connect.

  3. Configure your team’s channel notifications

After you’ve given permissions, your Configure tab will show two more setup steps. Type in the channel where you’d like Panobi to post updates that are relevant to your team.

  4. Choose whether to get direct messages from Panobi

Use the toggle to show whether you want Panobi to notify just you if you’re mentioned or about other personally-relevant activity. This toggle provides authentication on an individual level, so any member of your team who wants to receive DMs in Slack must separately toggle this setting to on.

Activity feed

If you opt out of email or Slack notifications, you can still catch up on missed activity by visiting your activity feed in Panobi.

  1. Open the activity feed

Click on the bell icon in the top-right corner to open your feed.

  2. That’s it! You’ll know there’s new activity when the bell is badged with a red dot.
