Improve your process for sharing your team's work

Updated over a week ago

Insights are collaborative documents that radically reduce how much time it takes to keep your team and company in the loop. You can easily reference and link to work you’ve already done, like experiments and metrics, without having to take screenshots that immediately become outdated — insights are the updates that stay up-to-date.

Weekly team updates are a great place to start when creating and sharing insights, but don’t forget about writing up roadmaps and capturing lessons learned from failed experiments. (If you're new to insights, check out the details on how to create an insight.)

🔖 Cross-reference your work

It’s easy to link to any project, metric, or other insight from within Panobi. Simply type a # symbol in the Description field and then start typing the name of the item (with the help of our typeahead function) until you’ve found the right one. Hit Enter to link the Panobi item to the insight you’re writing.

When a reader clicks on the metric, project, or insight you’ve referenced, the detail view of that item will open in the side pane, so they'll always see the most up-to-date information. You’ll also have a stack of cards at the bottom of your insight summarizing all the Panobi items that were referenced.

🎥 Give credit to your team

You can add anyone in your workspace as a “collaborator” on an insight. This lets you give engineers, designers, and data scientists the credit they deserve. Collaborators will get notified about new comments or substantial updates, like when the insight is published to your workspace.

📢 Increase engagement

If you've integrated with our Slack app, a team-wide message will automatically post in your chosen channel each time a new insight is published. Anyone with a Panobi account can comment on insights.

👀 Mind your read receipts

Panobi will track the people on your team who have read one of your insights and display an updated list. This will help you understand whether stakeholders are engaging with your content.

Save time with automated reports

Keep your stakeholders informed and your team’s work visible by maintaining a regular cadence of updates — Panobi makes it easy by getting the grunt work done for you. Each week, Panobi will automatically compile your past week’s key changes to projects and metrics into a draft insight that you can tweak and publish. Learn more about automated reports.
